The Whitburn Coastal Community Centre at Souter Lighthouse is a new eco-design building built with funding from both the National Lottery Heritage Fund and a bequest to the National Trust.
The building houses a meeting room, toilets inside and outside, and a bird ringing centre where local volunteers have the facilities to ring birds and record their findings. There is also a large touch screen which helps people find out more about the coast. The meeting room is available at low rates for community groups to use.
