Walk and Cycle Routes

Building on the past routes set up by local councils and projects the Tyne to Tees coast has a number already in place. In addition, as part of SeaScapes we have created one new cycle route and two new walking routes, and the three guided geology walks mentioned below.

This leaflet looks at four former quarry sites between Coxhoe and Bishop Middleham that are managed by Durham Wildlife Trust. It includes Raisby Grasslands, Trimdon Grange Quarry, Town Kelloe Bank and Bishop Middleham Quarry.

King Charles III England Coastal Path
The footpath is marked by way markers and finger posts with a variety of informative and interesting artwork along the way.
